Persistence of vision
Here, you can see a picture of parrot and a picture of cage on either side of the plate. Rotate the handle slowly and now see the pictures.

You can see parrot within the cage.
The science behind it :
Retina of our eye holds any picture for 1/25th of a second. As the parrot and cage images fall continuously, the parrot appears to be within the cage.
