The water from lower level is lifted to higher level with the help of hose wound in screw form.
The science behind it :
The water at lower level enters the hose and moves up with the help of centrifugal force exerted by the rotation of hose. This mechanism of lifting water was devised by Archimedes and is hence named after him.
