Wave Motion

Here, a number of horizontal arms are fixed in a tensioned rope. Apply a twist to the strip using the lever provided and observe.

What did you observe? 
The twist applied at the lower end of the strip is transferred to the top in a wave form.

The science behind it :
Energy can be transferred in a wave form as well. If continuous waves are generated, a wave goes to the top, return back and collides with another wave. Nodes and Antinodes can be observed in these waves.
