What did you observe? 
This model explains the functioning of internal combustion engine, clutch, gearbox, hydraulic brake, streering and differential mechanisms

The science behind it :
By rotating the steering, you are giving power to the cam shaft which is transferred to clutch assembly and gear box. This in turn is transmitted to rear axle by the propeller. Hence you can see the working of clutch, gearbox and brakes.
