Straight bar passing parabola
Here, a parabola shaped groove is made on either side of a rotating axis fitted with a straight bar. Rotate the handle and observe.
What did you observe?
Without any hindrance, the straight bar passes through the parabola on both the sides.
The science behind it :
The geometry of parabola is such that the tangent passing through one point of parabola can pass all the points in the same parabola.
