With a vision to 'Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators', Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The Tinkering Lab mission has fuelled a nation-wide mass movement and is creating millions of youth innovators at the grass-roots.
Atal Tinkering Labs are dedicated works spaces of 1200-1500 square feet with do-it-yourself (DIY) kits on latest technologies like 3D Printers, Robotics, Internet of Things (IOT), Miniaturized electronics where students learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. The lab activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity, and go beyond regular curriculum and textbook learning. The labs will let students explore skills of future such as design and computational thinking, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence.
AIM will provide grant-in-aid that includes a one-time establishment cost of Rs. 10 lakh and operational expenses of Rs. 10 lakh for a maximum period of 5 years to each ATL.
Schools (minimum Grade VI - X) managed by Government, local body or private trusts/society to set up ATL.
GyanPro is an organization that researches, teaches and promotes conceptual learning of science. GyanPro aims to create an experiential science education program to make learning fun, inspiring and interactive for children. We support Atal Tinkering Labs by giving comprehensive solution to setup ATL aimed at converting young minds into tinkers and innovators.
